At Klei Entertainment, I got the opportunity to experiment with style for a series of animated shorts we did for our character refresh updates.
Don’t Starve Together Animated Shorts: Wormwood
Getting to paint all the backgrounds for this short traditionally was a dream come true! The largest painting being 20”x 16”, widest my table allowed at the time. I also stylized the animations to fit the style of the backgrounds.

Helping to storyboard also, Walter’s story was a sad one. Grandma is very forgetful, with the exception of scent of familiar cooking to trigger her memories. Interior setup is built in 3D using After Effects. Left is concept. Below are screenshots from the short, animations done by the wonderful team
